It's not specific to Macs and can be somewhat technical. you're best Googling for that information. With respect to the differences between a Core Duo and an i5/i7. Lion requires at least a Core 2 Duo (or later) processor. If you actually have a Core Duo and not a Core "2" Duo, you will not be able to upgrade to Lion. You would need to purchase a new MacBook Pro with one of the newer processors if you wanted to upgrade. ![]() ![]() ![]() for starters, you cannot upgrade the processor in your MacBook Pro.
